Steve’s career spans almost thirty years, with twenty-five of those in Human Resources/Organization Development. Steve has specialized in Career Development in three different settings – private practice career coaching and organization development consulting; corporate recruiting for Amoco Corporation; and university career counseling for Indiana University. Prior to his human resources career, Steve spent several years as a financial auditor in public accounting with Ernst & Young. Steve obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resource Management, from Indiana University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Miami University of Ohio. He is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Kolbe Index, the Self-Directed Search, the DiSC assessment and the Career Leverage Inventory. Steve is also certified as a Career Management Practitioner by the Institute of Career Certifications International, and as a Board-Certified Coach by the Center for Credentialing & Education. Steve has been actively involved in the Chicagoland career development community, as past president of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International, and as vice president of the Board of the Career Transitions Center of Chicago. He is currently a Program Co-Chair for the Chicago OD Practitioners Network.
